Location, Location, Location

ü  Two miles from town, easy access to all types of recreating all four seasons.

ü  Amazing view of over 100 acres right from your Adirondack chair on the front porch. Locals have said this porch has one of the best views in elk city to watch elk, eagles, and the abundant wildlife.

ü  This is a 30 acre fenced property with most of the property in the front so for parents you can settle into to a comfortable chair on the porch and watch your kids ride bikes in the private driveway, explore the meadow and creek, feed the goldfish at the pond, climb trees, sled on the sledding hill, and you don’t even have to get up out of your comfy chair.

ü  Therapy for your Senses - In the summer the hummingbirds buzz your head. The smell of the pines lingers on the breeze. The sun hits the porch in the morning warming you while you have coffee. A true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

ü  View of the Town of Elk City - At night you can sit on the porch and see the lights in the town of elk city twinkling up the valley. Sometimes you can even see the Northern lights.

ü  Four wheelers – This is the ideal four wheeler property. Close to the paved road, two miles from town, lots of room for trailers in the driveway, a large shop to park or lock four wheelers in for the night.

ü  Elk –Sometimes up to 100 elk will be grazing around the property. There is a reason this area was named elk city. We are members of the Rocky Mountain Elk foundation and waking up to Elk outside my window never gets old.

Inside the House

• Kitchen/Dining – Gas stove, full size fridge, and fully stocked kitchen. A propane furnace that looks like a burning fire keeps the entire house heated so you never come back to a cold house.
• Living Room – Plenty of room, woodstove for warm if you want a crackling fine, Flat screen tv and dvd player.
• Bedrooms - 3 Bedrooms. Master bedroom has very comfortable King bed and private bathroom/shower. The second bedroom has two twin beds and the third bedroom has one twin, one couch, and a tv/dvd player.
• Pantry – Right off the kitchen is a large walk in pantry to store all your coolers and extra stuff The pantry also contains organized labeled bins with everything from birthday party things, computer cables, light bulbs, matches, etc.
• Mudroom – In the front of the house has tons of space for fishing rods, coolers, hunting gear, boots, and coats.
• Wood shed – Connected to the house and accessible from the covered porch so you never have to go out in the snow to get firewood.

Outside the House

• Garage – Plenty of room to get your four wheelers, snowmobiles, or motorcycles out of the weather. Or a place to store or process wild game if you are on a hunting trip.
• Barn – The barn is lighted and a good place to store your feed if you bring livestock or hang your deer during hunting season.
• Campfire Pad – Get a campfire going, roast hotdogs, and watch the stars.
• Pond – Go swimming in the summer or feed the Gold Fish.
• Phone/Internet – The house phone is 208-842-9292. I do not keep the internet turned on all year, but can have it available for an additional fee.

To Make Your Stay More Comfortable

Elk City, Idaho

ü  No crowds.

ü  More wildlife than people.

ü  Lots of fishing.

ü  You can run four wheelers on the road.

ü  Rarely are there annoying bugs. Many places in the west you will be swarmed by mosquitoes in the summer but not in elk city.

ü  It’s not a resort town and you won’t be slowed down by golf carts. Nobody will blink if you are packin a gun.

ü  People in Elk City are very friendly.  

ü  No cell phones or texting. Very peaceful. (You can have your calls forwarded to the house so you won’t lose contact without the outside world unless you want to.)

ü  The café has good food, internet, and is a great source of information.

ü  The hotel serves a good espresso.

ü  No crime because criminals like wolves are shot on sight.

ü   It’s charming and exciting at the same time.

This is a non smoking house. If you need to smoke inside please do not rent my house.
